About Terrazzo
Terrazzo is a manufactured stone, made from marble and a cement matrix, combined with a colour pigment. Because it’s manufactured, it can be used to create stunning homewares, gifts, garden pots and other stone products, in virtually any colour and shade, combining a range of effects (e.g. swirling).
Care Instructions for Terrazzo
Around 70% of the surface area of all our Terrazzo homewares, gifts, garden pots and other products is marble. That means it’s actually more stain resistant than natural marble. It’s not, however, completely stain proof, as the cement matrix used to bind the marble composite together is fairly porous. So it’s still good practice to wipe up spills immediately, and give your Terrazzo homewares, gifts, garden pots and other products the occasional clean with lukewarm water then wipe dry with a clean cloth. IMPORTANT: Use only neutral liquid cleaners (i.e. neither acid nor alkaline) on your Terrazzo homewares, gifts, garden pots and other products.
