About Marble

If there’s one stone type that’s always been associated with luxury, it’s marble. From the Ancient Greek Sculptors to Roman Architects to today’s discerning home decorators, marble has been associated with culture, tradition and refinement.

Not surprisingly, it’s been used extensively, across the ages, for sculptures and statues, building structures and luxury homewares.

Care Instructions for Marble

Despite its smooth and glossy appearance, marble is one of the more porous stones. Much like timber surfaces, it stains easily, so any spills need to be wiped off immediately. You should also wash it occasionally with lukewarm water, then wipe with a dry, clean cloth. TIP: Wiping with a damp chamois is a great way to clean marble homewares, gifts and garden pots without leaving streaks.
